Our Plan

● Come with a clean face, free of makeup and sunscreen.
● Wear loose fitting clothing around your head and neck.
● Stay hydrated, especially if getting blood drawn for PRP.
● Review and sign consent forms.
● Medical-grade numbing cream will be applied to treatment areas to ensure maximum comfort.
● If getting PRP, an easy blood draw will be performed. Blood tubes will be placed in a centrifuge to produce PRP.
● The face will be thoroughly cleaned.
● After microneedling, you will be placed under a red light to decrease inflammation and improve healing and cellular rejuvenation.
● You will be given a cool face mask, or you will be sent home with one to use that evening.
● PRP will be applied topically to the treatment area.
● Finally a calming serum will be applied.

● Skin may be red, warm, and feel like a mild sunburn for 24-48 hours post-treatment
● Avoid touching the treatment area unless cleansing or applying moisturizer (with clean hands).
● Avoid cardio or sweat inducing exercises, hot tubs, saunas, or hot baths/showers for 24 hours after treatment.
● Avoid makeup or sunscreen to the treatment area for 72 hours after treatment.
● Avoid sun exposure and wear physical barriers (i.e., clothing, hat) outdoors.
● Keep skin clean and well moisturized.
● Mild dryness or flakiness may appear three days after treatment.
● Treatments are best when done 3-4, typically 4-6 weeks apart.

What's the difference between standard microneedling and the Alpenglow facial with PRP?

Standard microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to trigger collagen production. The Alpenglow facial adds your platelet-rich plasma, which contains growth factors that accelerate healing and boost collagen production by up to 2x. This results in faster, more dramatic improvement, especially for acne scars and mature skin.

Is microneedling painful?

We utilize medical grade numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable as possible!

Is there any downtime associated with microneedling?

Expect redness similar to a sunburn for 24-72 hours. Some clients experience minor swelling or tightness. Most resume normal activities within 24 hours, though makeup should be avoided. Mild flaking around days 3-5 is normal as cellular turnover increases.

When will I see the results of a microneedling treatment?

You’ll notice an immediate glow, with visible improvements in texture and tone within 1-2 weeks. Results continue improving for up to 6 months as collagen production progresses. We recommend 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.

Is microneedling safe for all skin types?

SkinPen® is safe for all skin tones, including darker complexions. Unlike laser treatments, microneedling doesn’t use heat, reducing the risk of pigmentation issues. However, treatment should be postponed if you have active acne, rosacea flares, or open wounds.
